I love just waking early and hearing the chorus of native birds greeting the day and trying to just be in the moment. Every day is a good day we are alive and “today is the tomorrow we worried about yesterday and all is well”. I believe trying to enjoy the unfolding opportunities and challenges is the best way to approach life.
With a new year and decade many of us like to make New Year’s resolutions and they could be as simple and individual or as complex as you like trying to change everything in the world.
What seems quite simple and individual like personally trying to be more in balance and at peace within yourself, will still have flow on impacts to all inhabitants of this planet as all is connected. So don’t take for granted your individual efforts which could become global benefits for everything and everyone around you.
Some simple questions from writer Meg Wheatley are “What is my faith in the future? Am I willing to reclaim time to think? What is our role in creating change? Can I be fearless?” Meg sees community as always having the answers.
We see individuals with the courage and determination “to be the change they want to see in the world (Gandhi)”. We can all make a difference in some way. There are so many opportunities for you to be kind, be peaceful and be courageous.
Enjoy your next decade and the 2020 dawns.
